Lucien dedicates extensive periods to observing his surroundings, gently uncovering overlooked details and attuning to his own shifting emotions. Through this introspective process, he seeks a sense of balance that deepens his understanding of personal growth and existence. His photographs invite viewers into an ambiguous space where time and place seem to soften, while his small, unique prints reflect his ongoing journey of self-exploration. Each photograph is meticulously hand-printed using a blend of historical and contemporary photographic techniques, harmonizing with his contemplative approach to the landscape.
Lucien lives and works in San Francisco.
